RR Velar P380 R- Dynamic HSE

While the name is certainly a mouthful, this new model of Range Rovers latest offering is the most expensive trim available. The base Velar starts at just under $50k, but if you go with the R-Dynamic model with the P380 engine (supercharged 3.0 V6) and HSE trim, you're already closer to the $80K mark. And that still leaves you $10k short of the First Edition model. Will be hard to come across a vehicle from Audi or BMW in this category that allows you to drop this kind of money on a fully loaded model. Imo at that price point it makes more sense to just go with the Sport, but there is no denying that the new model looks the part.

The standard turbocharged 4-cylinder engine is already good enough for me, but the V6 is good for 380 horsepower and 332 lb.-ft. of torque. If only I have an extra $30,000 lying around for the RR Velar P380 R.
Surprised it didn't get a unique gearbox instead of the 8-speed automatic transmission.

Yeah I don't see many people going with this trim, I just couldn't believe how much it increased the price by. Before seeing this I thought $30k in additional options were reserved to the likes German manufacturers aha.

Sometimes people are willing to pay to be different from the next guy and its why well established brands like this can do it. At the same time with this whole next generation of Range Rovers it seems like they're trying to test certain configurations till something sticks.

Well JLR also sometimes go a little overboard with their options, and I don't know who they we're tying to appeal to with that $300k SV coupe. I get that they make premium vehicles, but for that kind of money you could get a high end supercar.
