I got mine installed at the dealer. It did however take over 6 hours so have them secure you a loaner vehicle. Good luck and check other dealers.

Cheers! 👍

Definitely the smart move to get a loaner. I'm not smart enough to understand, but it's weird to me that it takes 5-6 hours to install a firmware update. With previous vehicles I've owned, I could download a firmware update to a thumb drive and install it myself in 5-10 minutes. If someone has an idea why Land Rover updates take so long, I'd be interested in a short explanation.

Hello, I am new to this form and I will be getting my new 2019 Velar. However Apple CarPlay is not installed on it. So is there a way to have it installed after I take delivery of the Velar? Or does this need to be done at the factory and can't be installed afterwards?

Thanks,

Bruce

The dealer should be able to handle it. Mine was done 6 months after purchase. Depending on the dealer, you'll either get it free or pay approximately $300.
