My New Range Rover Velar P380 HSE

Hello everyone. I just got into my new 2018 Range Rover Velar P380 HSE a week or so ago. I love the futuristic design of this vehicle and the drive. Overall a very quiet SUV, feels like it rides on clouds and yet very powerful. The inside is a modern marvel with very rich feeling appointments. I'm still trying to figure everything out and have had numerous email exchanges with the dealer's Encore Specialist regarding some of the following issues/concerns:

1. Climate control air flow distribution is not showing on the screen for the passenger. It only shows for the driver even when not using SYNC.

2. Fuel Filler Door does not lock. That is just ridiculous.

3. 360 degree cameras are not showing. The only camera I see is the rear camera.

4. No Voice Navigation.

I feel as if they haven't done an app update to my car to enable all features. In fact the last app version (34.17-1480) I have showing is dated 2/3/2018.

Any feedback from other Velar owners would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks and good luck to all other Velar owners with theirs. It is an amazing SUV and like no other out there at this time.

Congrats on the new Velar, its absolutely stunning. Software issues are a widespread issue for nearly every new vehicle these days it seems. It does seem like the majority of issues you are experiencing could be rectified with an update. Whether or not RR is aware of these problems remains to be seen. Please let us know if your dealer provides a fix/update.

Regarding the issues, I think as long as you have a reputable dealer that has a reputation of dealing with these issues in a manner favorable to the consumer, you'll be in the clear.

On that note, which dealer are you with?

Thank you both (Finn & Audemar4play) for your replies and comments. I will certainly let you know what comes about with these issues. I was on the phone today with a JLR Customer Relationship Manager who is also looking into these issues/concerns. She will get back to me on Thursday with some answers. In the meantime she did say that there is a major app update recently released and that I should make an appointment for service and they would need it for a couple of hours to do the install.

She did not provide me with the details as to what this update would provide me. The dealership I purchased my car from was Land Rover in Hanover, MA. They were just great to deal with and real nice people albeit didn't spend much time going over all of the vehicles' functions/options. In fact they brought the Encore Specialist to actually put in a destination into the NAV considering I have no Voice Navigation available.

My biggest gripe is that the manual or Land Rover website and their "How-To" videos tell you one thing and show you something that is completely different than what I am seeing in my car.

I will keep you all posted as soon as I get answers. Thanks again.
